Hi, I'm Minal Kotecha born in Uganda, brought up in England and now living in Dubai, I have loved all the experiences life has thrown my way in each of the diverse countries. My upbringing is from an extended family of ingenious cooks. The passion for cooking appeared from a very young age, living in an extended family and being Gujarati meant the kitchen stove was always firing away, the food was shared with neighbours and no visitor left without joining for lunch, dinner or even chai nasto also known as Afternoon Tea. Luckily I married into Kotecha family where my cooking passion and skills were of great advantage and developed further with living in an extended family. I will be sharing some of my family recipes with you all.

Minal's Jumeirah Spice is all about the love of Vegetarian Cuisine. On this website, I will be sharing egg-less recipes.
MJS 'Out & About' are restaurant recommendations for good vegetarian options in Dubai reviewed by me, useful for both Dubai Residents and Tourists. Some of these restaurants will also be sharing their secret recipes too, watch the space!

My parents Mansukhlal and Chandrika Anadkat are my childhood cooking gurus! Thanks to them for all their guidance, love and support. I am extremely grateful to my husband Kamal and son Liam for their love, support, and patience as without them all of this would not have been possible for me to achieve.
