FASTING BUCKWHEAT- KUTTU KHICHDI - quick and easy recipe

Serves 4


1 cup Buckwheat (soak for 2 hours and drain)

3/4 cup Potatoes small cubed

2 tbsp Peanuts roasted and crushed

1 tsp Green chillies

1 tsp Ginger chopped

1 tbsp oil

1 tsp cumin

1/2 cup plain yogurt mix with 1 cup of water

1 tbsp Coriander chopped


Heat oil in non-stick pan add the cumin when it crackles add the potatoes, peanuts, ginger and chillies cook until potatoes are half cooked.

Now add the buckwheat and yogurt mixture and stir. Cook for 10 - 12 minutes.

Serve hot garnish with coriander.
