BANANA & PEANUTS SPICY SIZZLER - for Navratri Fasting/Faraal


2-3 Bananas

6-8 tbsp of dry roasted peanuts (crushed)

1 bowl of chopped Coriander

2-3 green chillies

salt to taste

1 tsp of red chilli powder

1 tsp of black pepper (ground)

1-2tbsp sunflower oil

Fresh coconut optional to your taste

water as required


  1. Wash bananas and cut them into approx 5 cm long pieces and make a slit

  2. Mix together in a bowl peanuts, coriander, chilies, salt, red chili powder, black pepper, oil.

  3. Then use this mixture to fill all the slit bananas, keep aside any extra filling.

  4. Place sizzler pan on the hob, heat 2 - 3 tbsp of oil and then slowly place the bananas, add the extra filling mixture and you can sprinkle some fresh coconut too. Add a little water and allow to sizzle for a few minutes, turning the bananas slowly.

  5. Serve the sizzler immediately with a salad of your choice.
