QUINOA FLOUR ALMOND BISCUITS

QUINOA FLOUR BISCUITS - perfect for a little healthy sweet craving

These bite size quinoa biscuits are light and nutty. Enjoy this quick recipe for a nutritious treat for all the family to enjoy, we certainly had fun making them!


INGREDIENTS:

150g Quinoa whole grain flour

120g Ground Almonds 70g Plain flour

70g Self raising flour 240g Butter 120g Sugar Pinch of salt Pinch of cardamom (elaichi) Pinch of grated nut meg


METHOD:


  1. Pre-heat oven at 180 degrees.

  2. In a large bowl sift all the flours and add all the remaining ingredients and mix together.

  3. With your hands roll into small round balls and place them on a lined baking sheet, leaving approximately 5cm between each one.

  4. Cook for 10 minutes in top half of oven or until golden brown.

  5. Remove from oven and let them cool for at least 5 minutes before placing them in a tray.

  6. Store in an airtight container.
